RULES
1. Invitation to awards
1.1. The subject of these rules is the performance of the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’, organized by Good Game Global, having its registered office in Zagreb.
1.2. The award is addressed to those meeting the inclusion requirements provided by next Article 3.
2. Aim of the ‘’ Good Game Liftoff 2019’’
2.1. The aim of ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ is to promote and develop the entrepreneurial creativity of young people up to 30 years old and startups, awarding the most deserving projects.
2.2. In compliance with this Rules, by competitive methods, projects submitted will be identified and awarded, in accordance with the provisions of the following points.
3. Intended recipients of ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ and excluded subjects
3.1. The attendance to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ is free of charge and is intended to legal persons up to age of 30 residing in one of the following Countries:
Croatia, Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia.
3.2. One to five participants can apply per application with one idea. One of the team members must be up to 30 years old.
4. Procedures and terms to submit requests to participate to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’
4.1. The subjects identified to the previous Article 3.1. may participate to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ within 15th of November, by completing the registration form available on the website good.game/liftoff.
4.2. Each team needs to choose their representative for communication with organizational team.
4.3. Applications need to contain:
- Team members - name, surname, e-mail address and team name
- Business Model Canvas
- Market Research
- Team description
- Business results, if available
5. Issues of the submitted project and evaluation criteria
5.1. The core element of the project participating to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ is not is not predetermined.
5.2. In the evaluation of project submitted for the purposes of participation and awarding of prize offered by ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ the following criteria will be applied:
- Requirements of creativity, originality and innovation
- Scalability and feasibility
- Details of prepared documentation
6. Progress of the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’
6.1. The ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ will progress through the following stages:
- During the first stage, among the submitted projects whose participants meet the requirements referred to in point 3, within 15 November, the organizers will select a maximum of 10 projects.
- During the second stage, among the 10 finalist projects to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ and previously selected, a dedicated jury appointed by the organizers will identify, through 10 minute pitches of each team, the winner of ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’.
7. Selection of subjects admitted to attend the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ and of the winner
7.1. The selected participants, upon completion of the first stage of the Contest (Article 6.1. Letter a), will receive by e-mail notification to this respect, with attached all information needed to participate to the final stage of the Contest. Should the finalist fail to provide all information, the organizers will reserve the right of repechage.
7.2. The finalists selected for the second stage of the Contest will receive email notification concerning their finalist qualification and the call to pitch to be hold before the jury. The jury of the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ is made up by the representatives from Good Game Global event countries.
7.3. The selection of finalists, as well as the Jury evaluation are irrevocable.
8. Modes of provision and awarding of prize
8.1. The winner of ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ will be awarded a comprehensive prize of the amount of 14,000.00 Euro which includes gross of applicable withholding taxes.
8.2. The only condition of the donation is that when the product or company of the winning team reaches a market value of more than EUR 1,000,000, they must donate the amount of EUR 14,000 to a new young project.
8.3. Donated money can be used to promote an idea, product, service or business. In the event that it is not used for the stated purposes, the organizer has the right to refund the donation.
9. General terms and conditions and grounds for exclusion from participation to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’
9.1. The organizers are entitled with the right to cancel, modify or suspend the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ at any time, as well as its contents, aspects or selection criteria.
9.2. The organizer is also entitled, at its sole discretion, to exclude any participant who:
- Breaches the terms of conditions of these Rules;
- Attempts to alter the regular performance of the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’;
- If the participants to this Contest, shall emerge as winners, but are judged in suspicious or fraudulent manner, or in breach of the normal and correct performance of the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’, the same shall not benefit from the prizes won, and the appropriate measures will be adopted.
- In any case, Good Game Global reserves the right to proceed in the terms which are deemed more appropriate, and in compliance with the Laws in force, so as the limit and inhibit any initiative aimed to circumvent the selection system.
10. Guarantees and indemnities
10.1. By accepting these Rules upon request of participation, any subject participating to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ hereby states and guarantees that the project submitted:
- is original and, to its respect, the proposer has the rights to participate to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’
- is not against with rights deserving protection and entitled to third parties, including the rights related to trademarks, patents, and industrial secrets, copyright, rights arising from agreements or licenses, rights related to privacy, moral rights, rights of publicity or image rights.
- is not intrinsically defamatory or outrageous nor it has any content capable of damaging the name, the honor or the reputation of the organizer.
- is not in breach of legal provisions in force, and does not contain characteristics aimed to promote offensive, threatening, harassment and intimidation behavior.
10.2. The subjects participating to the ‘’Good Game Liftoff 2019’’ shall state, upon submission of candidature, to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers and Sponsors from any proceeding or claim made by any third-party, for infringement of one of the provisions, and for the maximum term permitted by law.
10.3. Without prejudice to the above, upon submission of candidature, the participant hereby authorizes the Promoters, Organizers and Sponsors to:
- use his/her name, company name and image for promotional and advertising purposes, as well as the name, the image and the symbols identifying the project submitted.
- exhibit the project and related material during possible congresses, conventions and seminars.
- notify to third-parties interested the information required to invest in development, marketing and economic exploitation of the project.
11. Miscellaneous
11.1. The participation to this competition implies for participants the unconditional and full acceptance of the rules and clauses included in these Rules, without limitations.
11.2. Any information concerning the Contest will be made available at webpage good.game/liftoff and official Facebook page of Good Game Global.
11.3. Competitors are not entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred during the competition.
12. Key dates of the "Good Game Liftoff 2019"
- 1st of October - Start of applications
- 15th of November - End of applications
- 16th to 19th of November - Evaluation of submissions
- 20th of November - Finalists announcement
- 4th of December - Live pitch event
This Rule book shall enter into force on the day of its publication on the Good Game Global website.
